My name is Kendall Jones. I am a Marketing and Management double major at Baylor University. Some of my favorite things include traveling, eating, watching sunsets, and snapping mundane photos of life while deciding they are something extraordinary. Oh, and did I say eating? I seem to do that often.
Zeal is my favorite word. Its definition is "a great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective". I have a zeal for life that cannot be described any other way. This zealous attitude allows me to be constantly enthused by the world around me. Not in a silly overly exited way, but I genuinely think that life is a gift and that it is our job to work each day to make the lives of those around us better. To fight for something bigger than ourselves, and to have a good time doing it. Of course bad things happen, but it is how you bounce back that is what counts. This is where zeal comes into the mix. Zeal brings passion, eagerness, and appetite into life and by now we know I definitely have an appetite. So, let's eat.
I enjoy getting to know people. Not in a "let's get coffee and never speak again" sort of way but in the "let's get to know each other and let's lean on each other forever" sort of way. In the end, we are all in this together. "This" being life. I aim to create, build, nurture, and craft a career that allows me to grow in who I am and to learn each and everyday.
I think learning is one of the most exciting aspects of this zealous life. Learning allows us to become better people. To expand our view of the world one step at a time. I think that learning is the gift that we are made to exploit. Not exploit in a negative sense but in a positive sense. In a way that allows us to get the most out of it and derive benefit from it. We travel to learn. We go to school to learn. We work to learn. In the end life is just a game of trial and error through learning. We do something wrong, we learn, and we do it right (or more right than the last time, anyway it's really a work in progress). I have an innate desire to learn and grow in every situation that I am placed in. I think that the career I end up in will need to be a challenging one. I want to be challenged and I want to learn and grow everyday in my job.
I hope that this little blurb about me finds you well and that whoever you are, you resonate with something that I had to say. If you do I would appreciate you visiting the "contact" button up above and drop me a line. I would love to hear from you! In the meantime, please enjoy the gallery images of my life. Some better than others, but each just a mundane moment attempting to stick as an extraordinary one.
